Rachael is a UK-based Dietitian with 23 years’ experience of working in the NHS - with expertise in the fields of Long Covid, Weight Management and Learning Disabilities.
She is a Full Member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA) and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
She also has nearly 30 years’ experience of living with MS.
"We are dedicated to helping you feel better whilst living with a long haul health condition."
"We aim to do this using a combination of educational videos, individual appointments, group sessions, webinars, and podcasts."
The idea for the name came from the fact that those with Long Covid were sometimes described as "long haulers" - but also because Rachael sometimes feels (and she is probably not alone in this) that life with MS feels like a "long haul" journey too.
Rachael is using what she has learnt from working with patients in her NHS roles and bringing this to a wider audience through the medium of videos.
The Long Haul series of videos uses her experiences and expertise from her NHS role as Long Covid Lead Dietitian for Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire (June 2021 - September 2023).
There is generally some confusion about the difference between Dietitians and Nutritionists. Only dietitians are registered with the statutory regulator, the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). They alone can use the title of Dietitian/Registered Dietitian (RD).
Rachael wrote and presented this video during her NHS role as Long Covid Lead Dietitian for Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire.
