Welcome to The Long Haul Dietitian

Am I in the right place?

When health becomes complicated, understanding matters.

For many people, the hardest part isn't simply knowing what they should be eating. It's understanding why the approaches that once worked no longer seem to work, why symptoms have become so unpredictable, or why looking after their health now feels so much more complicated than it used to.

Perhaps you've noticed unwanted weight gain despite eating much as you always have. Perhaps menopause, illness or changing circumstances have left you wondering why your body no longer responds in the same way. Perhaps you're living with fatigue, pain, digestive symptoms, dizziness or other health challenges and are trying to work out whether food is making things better, worse, or perhaps isn't the main cause at all.

Many people receive conflicting advice, try one approach after another, or begin avoiding foods in the hope of feeling better, yet still feel confused, frustrated and unsure where to turn next.

Rachael is a specialist dietitian who helps people make sense of that complexity. Through a calm, thoughtful and collaborative approach, she works alongside people to understand the bigger picture—recognising the patterns influencing their health, separating cause from coincidence, and creating practical, realistic strategies that work within the realities of everyday life.

Rachael's aim is simple.

That every person leaves an appointment feeling clearer than when they arrived, with greater understanding, renewed confidence and a realistic way forward—whatever their starting point.
